There are several ways in which you can enter for the Young Musician of Dyfed competition.
- You may be sent an entry form by post;
- If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader [click here to download the Reader if you need to it’s free] you can download and print off the application form by clicking here;

- Call the Chair, Roger Mills, on 01970 828521, or E-mail her on rsm@aber.ac.uk with your name and address and she will send you a copy.
The deadline for application forms this year is Friday, October 16th.
Your entry will be acknowledged and in due course you will be sent a schedule for the daytime rounds, including the time of your performance. In general, the nearer you live to Newport, Pembrokeshire (where the event takes place this year) the earlier in the day you will be called.
Eligibility and Rules
You must be:
- 18 years old or younger on November 30th 2009;
- Either: Resident in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire;
- Or: With a home address in one of these counties;
- Or: In full time education at a school in one of these counties;
- You may play any instrument, but only one;
- Entrants should have reached standard 5 (or its equivalent for those who do not take these examinations);
- If you need an accompanist you may bring your own (who can be of any age) or you can ask us to provide one free;
- You should play a varied programme of music, not over 15 minutes long;
- You must play the whole of any work or movement you choose to play;
- If you reach the final, you may extend your programme to 20 minutes, but this is not obligatory;
- You must provide copies of the music for the three adjudicators.
