Programmes for Special Schools Workshops
Heol Goffa and Portfield Schools (for children aged 5 - 19 with severe and profound learning difficulties - around 75 pupils on the roll at each school)

Three 20/25 minute sessions with children of rising levels of age and ability - at Heol Goffa between 6 and 10 pupils per session; at Portfield around 20 pupils per session.

The sessions will be as informal as possible, with Alba playing and moving among the children, all designed to create maximum engagement for them.
Ysgol Rhydygors (for 54 Emotionally and Behaviourally disturbed children aged 8 - 16)

One session for 40 pupils. Prior to the workshop they will be given preparatory lessons on the history of music and a small group will work on a composition, using graphic notation, which will be sent to Alba Brass some time before the day.

At the workshop, Alba will provide an illustrated timeline of the history of music. 'The present' will be illustrated by a performance of the Rhydygors pupils' composition.
